Waiting on Wednesday {11}

HI! I'm doing another Waiting on Wednesday today because I'm completely in love with this series and this novella will be the next instalment (to my knowledge anyway). It sounds so good, and I haven't really read a good m/m book in such a long time, and with Lover at Last by J.R. Ward coming out next year I'm hoping the next 12 months will be bringing much joy to my bookshelf!

Title: Cloak and Silence
Author: Sherrilyn Kenyon
Publisher: Piatkus (UK) | Grand Central Publishing (US)
Release Date: ? 15th January 2013
Series: The League series, book 6

Blurb:
SPOILER ALERT If you haven’t read Born of Silence, there are spoilers contained below.
One of the fiercest soldiers the Phrixians have ever produced, Maris Sulle has been an outsider the whole of his life. He grew up with a secret that cost him everything- His birthright, his family and his military career. In all his life, he’s only had one love and he has sacrificed his own happiness to see his best friend reunited with the woman he loves. But now that his good deed is done, he feels lost and adrift. Even though they do their best to include him in their new family, he’s once again on the outside looking in.
Ture has spent his life hiding from everyone around him while trying desperately to fit in. His family, the world, you name it. Badly hurt by everyone he’s ever known, he trusts no one except his own best friend. And honestly, he can’t understand why he trusts her. Nor can he believe her when she describes a loyalty between friends the likes of which he’s never seen.
But when he is in his darkest hour, he’s saved by a hero he thought only existed in novels. A man who is every bit as scarred and mistrusting as he is. One who has no interest in being dragged into another relationship with anyone.
Having spent his life as a living study of doomed relationships, Maris is well aware of the courtship and fiasco that invariably follows. Still, there is something about Ture he can’t resist. Something that won’t let him walk away when he knows he should.
But when old enemies return to threaten them both, they either have to stand together or die alone.

Why am I waiting on it?

1) MARIS, MARIS, MARIS! - He's a heart-stoppingly gorgeous Phrixian warrior, who hides really well that he can kick major butt under a layer of humour and light hearted banter. Loyal to his very core, Maris is my ideal man...if only he didn't bat for the other team :(

2) ...Darling? - As we all know, Darling isn't gay and is now happily married to Zarya but Maris still loves him. I foresee a lot of Darling in this book basically because these two are closer than brothers and I hope my prediction is true because daym that man is fine ;)

3) Ture - I know next to nothing about Ture, other than he's gay and Zarya's best friend. Everything else has come from Sherrilyn's website and the blurb for Cloak and Silence. I love meeting new characters, and to capture our beloved Maris' heart...Ture must be quite something.

4) M/M - This really isn't my genre. I have limited experience reading M/M stuff...the closest I've come in the past 3 years is in Jenna Black's Morgan Kingsley series and the relationship between Dominic and Adam. But 2013 seems to be the year for M/M because not only do we have Cloak and Silence being released but LOVER AT LAST by J.R. Ward as well!

5) It's written by Sherrilyn Kenyon - and at this point, Sherrilyn could write an essay on paint drying techniques and I'd read it. She's just that good :)

Waiting on Wednesday {10}

Hello again! It's wednesday so it's time for Waiting on Wednesday!! For those who don't know, WOW is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine which allows bloggers, like myself, to showcase the book they're most looking forward to that particular week. Now, this week I've been reading the book BLADE SONG by the wonderful J.C. Daniels (aka Shiloh Walker) and have completely and utterly fallen for Kit Colbana and Damon. If you've read it you'll understand why :) Anyway I need more of this unlikely couple in my life, soooo my WOW is all about book 2 in the series NIGHT BLADE!

Title: Night Blade
Author: J.C. Daniels
Publisher: Shiloh Walker Inc.
Release Date: TBC but possibly Winter 2012
Series: The Colbana Files, Book 2

Blurb from Goodreads:
Kit Colbana is always biting off more than she can chew. She has a knack for finding trouble. This time, though, trouble finds her. Someone from her past drops a case into her lap that she just can’t refuse…literally.
People on the Council are dying left and right and she’s been requested to investigate the deaths. The number one suspect? Her lover, Damon. If she doesn’t clear his name, he gets a death sentence. Even if she succeeds? They still might try to execute him. Oh, and she’s not allowed to tell him about the case, either.
The stakes are high this time around, higher than they’ve ever been. Kit may be forced to pay the ultimate price to save her lover’s life…a price that could destroy her and everything she loves.

Why am I waiting on it?
1) The Characters - Kit Colbana is half human half Aneira and all bad-ass, she's a warrior at heart despite what her family may believe, and she has a magic sword, no seriously...it just appears out of thin air. A PI with a horrific past at the hands of her family, Kit is an awesome character and I can't wait to find out more about her. As for her lover Damon, well he's a shape-shifter...a highly unstable alpha shapeshifter. As much as I thought he was a complete b*stard for most of book 1, I did actually warm to him...when he was no longer half strangling Kit anyway. Can't wait to see where life has taken these two now :)

2) The excerpts - I LOVED the excerpt provided at the end of Blade Song, I actually kept trying to make more pages on my kindle in the hope more would magically appear...sadly it didn't work ;) I have found another one on J.C. Daniels' website HERE so go check it out!

3) Mad world-building skills - I can't say it often enough but the world J.C. Daniels has created is just awesome, I mean in BLADE SONG, we had a sociopathic alpha of the cat shape-shifters, a group who were hunting magically inclined children for sport as well as witches, huge wolf bouncers, and a bar you get a headache going into :) I can't wait to see what she comes up with for this one!

4) The blurb - damn it sounds interesting...I can't see how Kit will be able to hide her investigation from Damon, plus I'm half hoping that we get to see Kit's Aneira family, purely because I think she and Damon could kick their asses...and believe me, it needs doing!

5) I can't wait much longer - seriously, the stress may kill me before I can even get my hands on a copy of this!!

Alright folks, that's me done for the day! I'm going to be posting my review of BLADE SONG on Thursday so if NIGHT BLADE sounds like a book for you then be sure to check it out!

Vikki over and out!

Waiting on Wednesday {9}

Hi guys! Hope you're all ok, I've had a mixed week, full of ups and downs (hence my lack of posts). But now I'm back and there's nothing better to get me back into the swing of things than our lovely Waiting on Wednesday hosted by the fab folks at Breaking the Spine!
This week brings a series I've loved for ages but have recently had some mixed feelings about...hopefully DARK STORM will get us back on top form :)

Title: Dark Storm
Author: Christine Feehan
Publisher: Piatkus (UK) | Berkley (US)
Release Date: 2nd October 2012
Series: Dark Series, book 23

Blurb from Goodreads
Return to the seductive world of Christine Feehan's New York Times bestselling Carpathian novels as roiling passions collide in a perfect storm of dangerous desire that only a precious few can hope to outrun . . .

Awakening after all this time in a world of absolute darkness and oppressive heat, Dax wonders in how many ways the world above must have changed. But it is how he has changed that fills him with dread and loathing. Buried alive for hundreds of years in a volcano in the Carpathian Mountains, Dax fears that he has become the full-fledged abomination that every Carpathian male fears, a victim of the insidious evil that has crept relentlessly into his mind and body over the centuries. But there are some things that never change.
His name is Mitro, the vampire Dax had hunted all these long centuries. Second in command to the prince of the Carpathian people he is the epitome of everything malevolent, and perpetrator of one of the most shocking killing sprees known to man - and beast. Even his friends and family weren't safe from Mitro's bloodlust. Neither was Mitro's lifemate, Arabejila, an extraordinary woman with extraordinary gifts. But now that Dax has re-emerged, so too has Mitro. The ultimate battle between good and evil has been re-engaged. Between Dax and Mitro, a violent game has begun - one that has marked Riley Parker, the last descendent of Arabejila, as the reward.

Why am I waiting on it?
1. It's Christine Feehan - and while I've not loved some of the later books in the Dark Series (with the exception of Dark Slayer) I still believe she is an amazing author so I am hoping that we can return to the prime of this series i.e. Dark Slayer, Dark Celebration, Dark Gold. I've read this series over the last 5-6 years or so and I won't be putting it down for a while longer.

2. The blurb - ooooh! It sounds like a new-ish concept for this series...although kind of similar to the story of Lucian and Gabriel. Hopefully it will actually be as good as it sounds, plus I always like the addition of new Carpathians.

3. The other characters in the series - I'm fairly sure there are still several pregnant lifemates so I hope we get to find out how they are all doing and see if any new Carpathians have been brought into the world. I also want to find out where Skyler and Dimitri are at, fans of the series will know what I mean when I say I'm still on edge waiting for their book :) Maybe we'll get one step closer with DARK STORM!

4. How many people can make a series successful for 23 books!! I mean it's not just any author who can do that. I can only think of Laurell K Hamilton and Sherrilyn Kenyon who have a series of similar length!

5. It's out soon! What more can I say :)

Let me know about what you are waiting on! See you soon :)

Waiting on Wednesday {8}

Hi everyone! It's that time of the week where I tell you all which amazing title I'm waiting for!! Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine :) And this week I have an awesome read for you guys to feast your eyes on. So here we go!

Title: Archangel's Storm
Author: Nalini Singh
Publisher: Gollancz (UK) | Berkley (US)
Release Date: 13th September 2012 (UK) | 4th September 2012 (US)
Series: Guild Hunter, book 5

Blurb from Goodreads:
With wings of midnight and an affinity for shadows, Jason courts darkness. But now, with the Archangel Neha’s consort lying murdered in the jewel-studded palace that was his prison and her rage threatening cataclysmic devastation, Jason steps into the light, knowing he must unearth the murderer before it is too late.

Earning Neha’s trust comes at a price—Jason must tie himself to her bloodline through the Princess Mahiya, a woman with secrets so dangerous, she trusts no one. Least of all an enemy spymaster.
With only their relentless hunt for a violent, intelligent killer to unite them, Jason and Mahiya embark on a quest that leads to a centuries-old nightmare… and to the dark storm of an unexpected passion that threatens to drench them both in blood.

Why am I waiting on it?
1) Hand's up who waiting on this with me!! Anyone who has read Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series surely can't fault my choice here. Although I almost wish it were another Elena and Raphael book. However I am more than happy to read about our scarred and elusive spymaster Jason, he's dark, dangerous and super sexy...what more could a single girl ask for ;)

2) The Blurb. For those who have read Archangel's Kiss will know that Neha's daughter was killed is that book. She was absolutely devastated and has been plotting against Raphael ever since...so I'm intrigued as to how and why her Consort has been killed, and whether it will have anything to do with her daughters death. Who knows...

3) I can't wait to meet the woman who has finally tamed another of Raphael's 7. Spymaster vs Spymaster...I certainly foresee a wild ride ahead of us :). Though at this rate there won't be any yummy angels left for the rest of us :( HANDS OFF BLUEBELL...HE'S MINE!!

4) The sneak chapter Nalini Singh put on her website a few months back. I can't even explain how good it was...you'll just have to read it for yourselves!! I've even made it easy and got you the link....so just click HERE. Happy Reading!

5) Finally, it's out soooo soon...the reason I haven't done this book before I because I get neurotic just thinking about it...posting about it would have sent me into a book buying hyperdrive to fill the hole until this book is released. I finally feel secure enough to post without severe reprocussions ;)

Right then, let me know what you're waiting on!
See you for another WOW next week :)

Waiting on Wednesday {7}

Hello! Welcome to this weeks Waiting on Wednesday - a meme hosted by the lovely people at Breaking the Spine. I'm advance scheduling this post like last week...except this time it's because I'm currently catching some rays somewhere in Cyprus. I know I'm likely as red as a lobster right now because pale pale skin and 30 degree heat don't exactly mix haha. Anyway I'm sure you'll all be familiar with my choice...or at least it's author!

Title: Clockwork Princess
Author: Cassandra Clare
Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books
Release Date: 19th March 2013
Series: Infernal Devices, Book 3

Blurb from Goodreads
In Clockwork Princess, Tessa and her companions travel all over the world as they race to stop the clockwork army before it’s too late. As Jem’s health worsens alarmingly and his friends search desperately for a cure, can Tessa choose between the two boys she loves—even if it means never seeing the other one again?

Why am I waiting on it?
Well for starts, I've been a fan of Cassandra Clare since I read the Mortal Instruments series when it was first released...so much so that my covers for the first two no longer match the series!! And that's a pet peeve of mine! Thankfully these covers are continuous :) Oh and speaking of covers...this one's purty *smiles with glee* just one more reason to add this to the list!
Honestly I just want to read more about Magnus at the moment...he's definitely my favourite character out of both series. I still have to read some of Clockwork Prince but I'm still liking the series so CLOCKWORK PRINCESS is staying on my to read list!

Waiting on Wednesday {6}

Hello!! This is the first WOW I've done in a while and I'm having to schedule this in advance to post because I'm currently fast asleep after what was probably a gruelling night shift at the hospital...I'm hoping it wasn't that bad, but in reality I'm probably in a deep state of unconsciousness right now. Anyway, back to the post...this WOW selection I actually mentioned in a post I did way back in January about the books I was most looking forward to this year. Since then, more information had been released (along with some super cool excerpts) and I'm super super excited about this release!

Title: Fury's Kiss
Author: Karen Chance
Publisher: Signet Books
Release Date: 2nd October 2012
Series: Dorina Basarab, Book 3

Blurb form Goodreads
Dorina Basarab is a dhampir—half-human, half-vampire. Subject to uncontrollable rages, most dhampirs live very short, very violent lives. But so far, Dory has managed to maintain her sanity by unleashing her anger on those demons and vampires who deserve killing...

Dory is used to fighting hard and nasty. So when she wakes up in a strange scientific lab with a strange man standing over her, her first instinct is to take his head off. Luckily, the man is actually the master vampire Louis-Cesare, so he’s not an easy kill.

It turns out that Dory had been working with a Vampire Senate task force on the smuggling of magical items and weaponry out of Faerie when she was captured and brought to the lab. But when Louis-Cesare rescues her, she has no memory of what happened to her.

To find out what was done to her—and who is behind it—Dory will have to face off with fallen angels, the maddest of mad scientists, and a new breed of vampires that are far worse than undead…

Why am I waiting on it?
1. I am a HUGE Karen Chance fan, her Cassie Palmer series was way up there at the beginning of my Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance book interest. So she'll always have a special place in my heart.

2. Dory kicks major ass. As the daughter of the big bad Mircea (and niece of Dracula might I add) this Dhampir has some major skills that have enabled her to live well beyond a Dhampir's normal lifespan. She's 500 years old and knows every trick in the book. Plus she reads Tolkien...how can she not be awesome ;)

3. Louis-Cesare is awesome. The lovely 400 year old auburn haired, French master vampire is both beautiful and skilled, more than a match for our Dorina. Louis-Cesare keeps Dory on her toes, but she is more than a match for him. After the events of Death's Mistress, I can't wait to see where these two are now.

4. Plot sounds interesting and different to the previous 2 books. Book 1 had Dory trying to kill Dracula...and Book 2 had her protecting her friends when someone is offing Senate members. Dory with no memory will probably be a handful. Wait...scratch the probably and pencil in defiantly!

5. I just want it. Want it soooo bad!!

For those whose interest has been piqued, chapters one and two are available by following the link below. I reccomend reading them...they are so good!

WARNING! You will likely be so sucked in that you rant and scream when you reach the bottom of the page...Enjoy!

Waiting on Wednesday {5}

Hello! Wednesday, middle of the working week and I'm already needing the weekend...in fact it took me 3 attempts to type the word Wednesday!!! Anyway, back to books. Waiting on Wednesday is the weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that allows all us book junkies to drool over the up coming releases that we so desperately want!
This week's drool worthy book comes from NYT Bestselling author Larissa Ione! Can you guess what I'm waiting on? Warning, if you have not read Lethal Rider...just the blurb of Rogue Rider may be a spoiler for you!

Title: Rogue Rider
Author: Larissa Ione
Publisher: Piatkus (UK) | Grand Central Publishing (US)
Release Date: 20th November 2012
Series: Lords of Deliverance, Book 4

Blurb from Goodreads:
The prophecies were there but no one listened. Until now. They are the Lords of Deliverance and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride.
Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues - and falls for - a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man that Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man that can be very dangerous . . .
Reseph may not know his background, or why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbours are killed and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world with death and destruction, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?

Why am I waiting on it?
Well I'm currently devouring Lethal Rider and am loving it so far. As much as I love the 'good' horsemen, I've always been intrigued by Reseph...wondered what he was like before the events that broke his seal. Reseph is always described as the most easy going of the bunch - the kinder brother if you will (mainly followed by allusions to how bad the others would be if their seals broke considering Pestilence is redefining evil). I am a big fan of Larissa Ione's writing, both her LOD and Demonica series are some of my all time favourites! The humour in these never fails to make me laugh and they are always action packed. Much Love for Larissa Ione over here :) Fingers crossed we'll see more of Wraith in Rogue Rider...and maybe more of Reaver?! Man those guys are yummy :)

Alright, drop me a comment and let me know what you're waiting on this week!

Waiting on Wednesday {4}

Hi everyone, it's time for Waiting on Wednesday! For those who don't know, Waiting on Wednesday is an awesome meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. It allows all of us who are entrenched in the book world to share our most anticipated 'to reads'. My WOW is one I have been dying to read for a while now! She's an assassin...and she will eat you alive, GIN BLANCO is back everyone!

Title: Widow's Web
Author: Jennifer Estep
Publisher: Pocket Books
Release Date: 21st August 2012
Series: Elemental Assassin Series, Book 7

Blurb from Goodreads:
The seventh book in the hugely popular Elemental Assassin series by New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Estep—Gin Blanco is back and ready for action.
My name is Gin, and I kill people. It’s something I've been doing for years as the assassin called Spider, but now, it’s turned into a necessity on my part just to survive all the lowlifes in Ashland who are gunning for me. The underworld is still in turmoil, and I seem to be on everyone’s hit list these days.
To add to Gin’s problems, her lover Owen’s ex is in town. Salina is back in Ashland to reclaim an old family legacy—and she thinks that Owen is hers for the taking. Also in the mix is Phillip Kincaid, a casino owner and all-around shady character who has a mysterious connection to both Owen and Salina.
Salina might seem like a sweet Southern belle, but there’s more to her than meets the eye. Her water elemental magic makes her a dangerous enemy—and someone who can go toe-to-toe with Gin’s Ice and Stone power. But Gin is determined to get to the bottom of Salina’s deadly scheme, even though it just might cost her everything…including Owen.

Why am I waiting for it?
Oh my God *hyperventilates* I freaking love this series! Gin is such a kick-ass heroine...she's an assassin, though she has 'retired' but will still do pro-bono work when she sees someone who really needs killing! Gin is just awesome. Period. She has elemental magic, strong control over Ice and Stone meaning she could just as easily flash-freeze a man to death as to bring a building down on top of him. Gin is a quirky, strong heroine who cooks like no-bodies business :)
Right, so I may or may not have already received an advanced readers copy of Widow's Web (I love you Jennifer Estep!!) but the restraint of not immediately diving into it is causing me physical pain!! I've had exams and several other books I need to read before I can dive head-first back into Gin's world. Oh lord, give me strength!

You know what I'm waiting on, leave me a comment about what you're waiting for and I'll get back to you!

Waiting on Wednesday {3}

Hello! Your friendly neighbourhood bookaholic here, writing to wish you all a HAPPY WEDNESDAY! I can't say I've had the best day today, I had to give a presentation on HIV for my degree course. Absolutely terrifying!!

 Anyway, today's Waiting on Wednesday comes from Gena Showalter again...I know I featured Wicked Nights by her 2 weeks ago but this is a completely different series so it doesn't count :)

Title: Alice in Zombieland
Author: Gena Showalter
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Release Date: 25th September 2012
Series: White Rabbit Chronicles, Book 1

Blurb from Goodreads:
She won’t rest until she’s sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.
Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that’s all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.
Her father was right. The monsters are real….
To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies….

I wish I could go back and do a thousand things differently.
I'd tell my sister no.
I'd never beg my mother to talk to my dad.
I'd zip my lips and swallow those hateful words.
Or, barring all of that, I'd hug my sister, my mom and my dad one last time.
I'd tell them I love them.
I wish... Yeah, I wish.

Why am I waiting on it?
Do you really need to ask that question? Firstly, I have a small obsession with Gena Showalter...a teensy, tinesy little obsession...all right, fine, I have a rather large obsession, but the point still stands that I love Gena Showalter. Her lords of the Underworld series was one of the first 5 books on PR I ever read so she'll always hold a special place on my shelf. I'm interested to see what she can do with YA.
Secondly, the title, Alice in Zombieland! How freaking awesome does it sound already :)
Thirdly, Zombies! I haven't read much with zombies as a feature... I've watched the Resident Evil films but that's about it, I'm trying to branch out a little with my reading and this is top of the list! (If anyone can suggest other good zombie books let me know!)
Plus the cover is pretty nice...all in all, definitely on my TBR pile!

Is Alice in Zombieland on your TBR pile too? Let me know what you're waiting on :)
See you later :)

Waiting on Wednesday {2}

Hello again everyone. Yep, it's Wednesday and as of last week I've joined the meme Waiting on Wednesday hosted by Breaking the Spine. Waiting on Wednesday is a great way to let everyone know what books you are counting down the days for. This week it's the newest series that's got me in a death grip...I've even got one of those widget countdown things I'm that impatient :) This is Grave Memory!

Title: Grave Memory
Author: Kalayna Price
Publisher: Berkley UK | ROC (US)
Release Date: 5th July 2012 (UK) | 3rd July 2012 (US)
Series: Alex Craft Series, Book 3

Blurb from Goodreads:
As a Grave Witch, Alex solves murders by raising the dead—an ability that comes at a cost, and after her last few cases, that cost is compounding. But her magic isn’t the only thing causing havoc in her life. While she’s always been on friendly terms with Death himself, things have recently become a whole lot more close and personal. Then there’s her sometime partner, agent Falin Andrews, who is under the glamour of the Winter Queen. To top everything off, her best friend has been forever changed by her time spent captive in Faerie.
But the personal takes a backseat to the professional when a string of suicides occur in Nekros City and Alex is hired to investigate. The shades have no memory of the days leading up to their brutal endings, so despite the very public apparent suicides, this is murder. But what kind of magic can overcome the human will to survive? And why do the shades lack the memory of their deaths? Searching for the answer might mean Alex won’t have a life to remember at all…

Why am I waiting for it?
Well, in the last 4 weeks I have read books 1 & 2 (Grave Witch and Grave Dance) in this series and adored them so I can only hope that book 3 will live up to the same standard as its predecessors. I can't wait to see which direction the love triangle takes! Will Alex choose Falin, the powerful Fey with the blood of hundreds on his hands...the unobtainable Fey because he is the Winter Queen's assassin and ex-lover. Or will Alex choose the man who has been by her side since she was a child...a man equally unobtainable, the soul collector known only as Death. Death has already declared his love for Alex but is prohibited from having a relationship with her due to events in Grave Dance. I'm rather excited to know!
I wonder what new challenges Alex's heritage and her new title among the Fey will bring...I hope that we learn more about her and her rapidly growing powers. I love Alex, she's quirky and fun as well as being pretty fearless in the face of approaching death.

Who knows what Grave Memory will bring, but I know I certainly can't wait to find out! Plus, I LOVE the covers in this series, striking but almost eerie at the same time, a good representation of Alex!

Waiting on Wednesday {1}

Hi guys! Ok so here at V's Book Life I've been searching for a new feature that's completely awesome to run mid-week ish, and then I found Waiting on Wednesday from Breaking the Spine *happy dance*. I realise it's been up and running for a while but I fancied trying something that I hope can become a regular feature here :).
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to tell the world about the book(s) that you are on the edge of your seat waiting for! *camera self destructs*...Can you tell I watched Mission Impossible last night haha. What are you waiting for, Let's get started!
This week's Waiting on Wednesday features the highly anticipated new series from one of my favourite authors...Gina Showalter!

Title: Wicked Nights
Author: Gena Showalter
Publisher: Mira Books (UK) | Harlequin (US)
Release Date: 6th July 2012 (UK) | 26th June 2012 (US)
Series: Angels of the Dark, Book 1

Blurb from Goodreads:
From the New York Times bestselling author who brought you the Lords of the Underworld comes a dark, seductive new series featuring angels poised on the brink of destruction.... Leader of the most powerful army in the heavens, Zacharel has been deemed nearly too dangerous, too ruthless-and if he isn't careful, he'll lose his wings. But this warrior with a heart of ice will not be deterred from his missions, at any cost...until a vulnerable human tempts him with a carnal pleasure he's never known before. Accused of a crime she did not commit, Annabelle Miller has spent four years in an institution for the criminally insane. Demons track her every move, and their king will stop at nothing to have her. Zacharel is her only hope for survival, but is the brutal angel with a touch as hot as hell her salvation-or her ultimate damnation?

Why am I waiting for it?
Well, for one I am a HUGE fan of Gina Showalter, I'm in love with her Lords of the Underworld series. If you're as big a fan as me, you'll vaguely know Zacharel from the LOTU series, he intrigued me then and I'm definitely intrigued now. I've loved the angels ever since we had Lysander and Bianka's story, love me some Lysander ;) *dodges Harpy claw to the eyes* No Bianka...please don't hurt me, I get it, he's yours!!
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing stone cold Zacharel having to cope with these feelings he has for the human woman. Should be fun!
To be honest I'm not 100% sold on the cover but it's not enough to put me off buying the book when it's released here :)

Alrighty then, let me know what you're waiting on this Wednesday!
Toodles!
