Feature and Follow {5}

Hi everyone, now most of you will have heard of the weekly meme hoted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read called Follow Friday. Its purpose? To connect bloggers all over the world. Sooo, I'd like to say thanks for hopping by and I hope you'll drop me a comment. I always follow back :)

This weeks question comes from JoAnne at The Fairytale Nerd...
Q: What is the best book you've read in the last month? What is the worst book you've read in the last month?

Hmmm....ok. Toughy again. Oh I know!!!

Best - Archangel's Kiss by Nalini Singh (Guild Hunter #2). It's about the 3rd time I've read Archangel's Kiss and I'm still blown away by the writing. I love Elena and Raphael as a couple...they just fit so well, I can't wait for more from them. PLUS we are introduced to all members of Raphael's Seven - including the mysterious Aodhan (though my heart will always belong to Illium *sigh*). Cannot fault it one bit.

Worst - The Harlequin by Laurell K Hamilton (Anita Blake #15). To be honest I'm getting rather tired of this series. What started out as a very promising series has been grossly stretched out so much that I no longer see the elements that made me fall in love with Guilty Pleasures. I mean, who exactly is Anita in a relationship with?? She just seems to sleep with anything that moves! I am seriously contemplating giving up completely!

What are your best and worst?
Talk soon!

There are very few series that can last more than 5 to 7 books. Babysitters club, nancy drew, Ramona....

Harry Potter, honestly, probably could have done it.

I've heard a few people say exactly the same thing about the Anita Blake series but I'm still going to give it a try. Haven't heard of the other one but I've been hearing great things about her books so I may give it a try!
New follower here, your blog is so cute! :)

I love, love, LOVE Nalini Singh.
Haven't heard of this other series you mentioned. It's sad when one starts out great, but goes on and on and on to become just so-so or even rather *blah!!*
Happy Friday :-)

The way you feel about Anita Blake is the exact way I feel about HON. I refuse to go within five feet of those books without hissing. I loved them so much in the beginning that I devoured them. Now? I can't even bear to look at the covers.

@Rebecca

I'm assuming you are talking about the House of Night series and I feel the same about that too...the ones up to book 4 were good but I haven't loved the later ones.
Really debating whether the next one is worth the time, I can only give a series so many chances!
